I had an awesome time at the Witte museum, and we got to do a lot of fun stuff. We got to play a lot of games that helped us visualize how are body is working in the inside. My favorite thing to do was the life size operation game. We also got to "work out" in the heb adventure center. There were many things we could do, such as the sky bike and rock climbing. I really enjoyed it.
The job field Microscopy uses the microscope a lot. Microscopy simply involves using the microscope to examine things. A Medical Technologist is also one of the many specialties. http://www.fortis.edu/blog/healthcare-medical/microscopy-and-the-medical-laboratory-technologist/ Homeostasis is when the body tries to balance everything out in the body. These Homeostatic Mechanisms are when the body tries to cool itself down in the form of sweat. When runners run for a long time and don't drink enough water, the body doesn't know what to use to cool down. This makes it hard to sustain exercise at the same pace. Some signs/challenges of overheating are heat exhaustion, heat cramps, which can eventually lead to heat stroke. It is important to maintain homeostasis because our bodies wouldn't be able to balance everything out and we wouldn't be able to function.
dictionary.reference.com/browse/homeostatic Anatomy is the structure of the human body. Physiology is the study of how the body and its systems function. The founder of modern human anatomy was Andreas Vesalius. Earlier attempts were made by many others, such as Hippocrates and Aristotle, however were unsuccessful. Vesalius dissected a human body to further observe the lay out of the human body. Anatomy and Physiology is important because it is used to find out how our bodies work, as well as helping with surgeries.

I think this because the sugar will help the parts of the cell expand. Once the sugar gets to the water part of the cell it should expand because it is the opposite of salt which would make the cell shrivel up because salt takes in the water. feel that our egg is going to be in a hypotonic situation. This is because the sugar solution we used - Doctor: Hello Ms. Lopez. I'm sorry to tell you that the"mole" on your left arm is not mole. It is a symptom of a skin disease called Melanoma. Melanoma is a serious type of skin cancer and it develops in cells that produce melanin, a pigment that determines your skin color. Fortunately, there are some treatment options. You are in the first stage, so what you can do is a procedure called "Wide Excision." This is a procedure that removes the small area of diseased tissue. - Ms. Lopez: If that doesn't work, what happens next? - Doctor: Well, then you would be considered in the Stage 2 phase, which has similar procedures, plus other drugs or vaccines which are recommended. Then if that treatment still doesn't work then it would be in Stage 3, and you would need to have surgical treatment on the tumor. The last and final stage is Stage 4 which is hard to cure because the disease has spread to distant lymph Nodes. Lymph Nodes are small bodies located at the neck, armpit, and groin that filter bacteria and foreign particles from lymph liquid, which is a clear fluid found outside the cells that bathes tissues. - Ms. Lopez: If I follow through with the treatment, will the Melanoma go away? - Doctor: There is no guarentee, but we will try our best to help you get well. - Ms. Lopez: Okay, thank you for your time. I will consider my options. Cells make up the entire human body, and they are essential to our survival. Cells were discovered by Robert Hooke in 1635, when he examined slices of cork screw and found that it had pores. He named them cells because he said that they looked like prison cells to him. The whole cell theory was established by Theodor Schwaen which consist of two things. 1. All organisms are composed of one or more cells, and 2. Cells are the structural units of life. There are two types of cells, Eukaryotic and Prokaryotic. Homeostasis plays into this because when cells "Self Regulate" that is pretty much homeostasis. Self Regulating is when a cell is infected by a virus it asks the body to kill it. This is making sure the cell stays healthy and alive. Forensic Pathologists focus on determining the cause of death by looking at a corpse. Medical Examiners do the actual autopsies, usually during the investigation of criminal cases. Forensic Science Technicians must have a four-year degree, preferably in Biology, Chemistry, Forensic Science, or Criminal Justice. American Public University System, Sam Houston State, Virginia Commonwealth University, Penn State, Syracuse Univ., Boston Univ., Michigan Univ., etc. I would need to do four years as an undergraduate. My Graduate schooling would be two years.
